Character Biography

Leo is Ben's dad -- otherwise known as the Sausage King, thanks to his successful meat business. Ever since Ben's mom died a few years ago, Leo's always been there for his son, even though Ben may not always want quite so much guidance. What Leo wants is for his son to be responsible: to himself, to his obligations, and to Amy -- whether they're dating or not. When Leo heard Ben making too many assumptions about money, he shook up the boy's comfy world by making him get a job at the butcher shop. Meanwhile, Leo's just remarried, so he's got a loving partner again: Betty is his Sausage Queen.

Actor Biography

Although he plays the "Sausage King" on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Steve may be best known for his role as Bobby Baccalieri on The Sopranos. His first part ever was as an extra in the movie Casino, and he's also been seen on Star Trek: Enterprise, Law & Order, The King of Queens, and Ugly Betty, and heard on the animated series Aqua Teen Hunger Force. In 2009, he appeared in two episodes of the sitcom Brothers, as well as in the ABC Family original movie My Fake Fiance. Soon you'll be able to see him on the big screen in The Hungry Ghosts and The Irishman (both not yet rated). Following his Sopranos gig, Steve co-wrote a series of Goomba books featuring Italian recipes and lifestyle tips.
