Without Hanna’s knowledge, the other Little Liars work with Caleb to find out what other secrets “A’s” phone conceals. They learn that Alison had a secret ID with brunette hair.
Meanwhile, Hanna contends with her evil stepsister Kate’s first day at school. Spencer recognizes Kate and knows some information that could hurt her. She promises to keep quiet --as long as Kate doesn’t cause trouble for Hanna. When Spencer tells Hanna about this news, Hanna accidentally discovers that Caleb is still working with the other girls behind her back.
Emily’s mom returns for a visit, and Emily, Pam and Maya all share an awkward dinner together -- thanks to Maya’s behavior. Later, Emily and Maya make up and share a romantic evening together.
Meanwhile, Aria and Holden agree to keep “seeing” each other as a way for Aria to maintain her relationship with Ezra, but she notices a large bruise on Holden’s side and wonders what secret he is hiding. Aria and Ezra keep their reconciliation a secret.
And “A” uses Hanna’s phone to send out a revealing photo of Kate.
