ABC Family Picks up Two New Original Series

ABC Family’s comedy slate is expanding with the addition of two new original shows, Mystery Girls and Young and Hungry.

Mystery Girlsis produced by and stars Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth. In this series two actresses, Holly (Spelling) and Charlie (Garth), reconnect to solve a real life mystery years after playing detectives on a TV show called, Mystery Girls.  Watch them put their mystery solving skills to the test when a fan of their show, Nick (played by Miguel Pinzon), witnesses a crime and asks them to help solve the case.

Young and Hungry stars Emily Osment as a food blogger named Gabi. When Gabi inadvertently gets selected to prepare a meal for a tech guru named Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) she finds herself with an opportunity for a new job and possibly a new love. Gabi gets some much needed help and advice from Josh’s assistant, played by Rex Lee, and his housekeeper, played by Kym Whitley. Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) also serves as a producer on this series.
