Delete Digital Drama with ABC Family and Seventeen

Posted: 07/13/11

ABC Family and Seventeen magazine are joining forces to bring awareness to the issue of online bullying. We're calling it Delete Digital Drama and it will be rolling out this summer in Seventeen magazine's August issue.

And the even bigger news -- ABC Family will premiere the two-hour original movie, "Cyberbully," starring Emily Osment (Hannah Montana), Kelly Rowan (The OC) and Kay Panabaker (No Ordinary Family), on Sunday, July 17 at 8/7c.

Cyberbully, follows Taylor Hillridge (Osment), a girl who is bullied online, and the fall-out is severe. When Taylor's mom gives her a computer for her birthday, she's excited by the prospect of freedom and independence of going online without her mother always looking over her shoulder. But Taylor soon finds herself betrayed and bullied and afraid to face her peers at school, including her best friend (Panabaker). And that's when things get extreme. This is an issue that so many people are dealing with. And again, if you need help, check out StompoutBullying.org, and for those who are in need of immediate help/assistance, they can go to the website or call the Stomp Out Bullying hotline at 855-790-HELP.

The Delete Digital Drama partnership with Seventeen will also feature a public service announcement with a whole bunch of stars from our hit shows including The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Pretty Little Liars, and new summer series including The Nine Live of Chloe King, Switched at Birth, and The Lying Game, and from our Cyberbully movie.
