I agree, the proposal seem superficial compared to many moments from seasons 1 and 2, specially the end of season 2. I think thats been the most magical moment between them.

It will be hard to say bye to wildfire after all this time, but if this was really meant to be the series finale, then so be it. Good job to the cast, the crew, and everyone involved, Wildfire is one of the best family series of all time. Congratulations.
what's your fave kris + junior moment?
favorite ever would have to be during the last episode of season2: "Close Shave". Just when Junior gives Kris Flames and he tells her he would start his training while shes away, he says: "I would do anything..." and then "I love you".

Finally Kris has put her feelings for Junior above everything else. That was the only way they could end up together. Throughout the seasons, we see her facing this decision several times: family or Junior. She had picked the Ritters for too long now, even Jean tells her that she would have to make the choice. Im glad they are both sacrificing something in order to be happy together, shows how in love they are with eachother and how they want to express it.

In my opinion, if that fight scene that appears in the preview of season 4 between Matt and Junior hasnt happened yet, it will happen because of this conversation. Kris tells Matt that her relationship with Junior is not meant to be. That encourages him to believe he still has a chance at being with Kris.

This is just great, matt finally backing off... but now Kris giving up on her relationship with Junior, Im sure that proposal will have something to say about that.
