east coast 'wildfire' blog party starts at 9pm!
Wildfire has been an amazing show from the very beginning to the very end. Every week, every season, I was rivetted, on the edge of my seat. I love this show. It is the only show on the air that I actually REMEMBER to watch every time it comes on. And that's seriously a big deal because there are so many good shows on the air (those crap reality shows not included), but for some reason Wildfire just .. had it. There was drama, comedy, thrills, shock factor, tears, laughter, everything you could possibly want wrapped up in a wholesome package that was great for every age! You don't see that anymore .. anywhere! The series finale was amazing. I was in tears nearly the entire show, because I knew it was the last one (though I wish that it wasn't because as everyone else has said .. there is just so much more you can do with this if you'd only listen to your viewers and give it a shot!). Wildfire had that perfect storybook ending. The happily ever after that you hoped it would would have. Kris and Junior belonged together from that first spark in the first episode. I love that Pablo and Jean finally realized their own love for one another. And that they gave Wildfire to Kris as a wedding present. I would love to have seen what happened after the wedding, with P&J, with Matt, with Dani, obviously with K&J. There are so many possibilities but I suppose that if the show has to end, you did it phenomenally and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not just pulling the show without a good ending like has been done for so many other shows (like Beautiful People!). I hope that for some strange reason you actually pay attention to your viewers thoughts/opinions this time and give Wildfire another season (or two .. or three!). But I doubt that it will happen. So thank you for ending it the way you did. Thank you for airing this show in the first place and giving us all something that was actually WORTH watching for a change. I could be like everyone else and threaten not to watch this channel anymore because of you pulling the show, but I know that there wouldn't be much point to it as it wouldn't change the final outcome. I just hope that whatever takes Wildfire's place on the line-up is actually a show worthy of following in its footsteps. Anything new is going to have some really huge (horse-sized, even!) shoes to fill.
