meet 'samurai girl' jamie chung

Posted July 14, 2008

So who is Jamie Chung, anyway? Where have we seen her before? Today she plays a nice Japanese princess who becomes a kick-ass samurai, but before the swords, kicks, and high-flying tricks, Jamie Chung faced a different kind of superhuman test: dealing with six roommates on MTV's "The Real World: San Diego." She went from major drama to high comedy in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry," with Adam Sandler and Kevin James. She's also guest-starred on "Veronica Mars," "ER," "CSI: NY," and ABC Family's own "Greek." (In fact, she's been on "Greek" twice!) Jamie played Cordy on "Days of Our Lives," and she can be seen in the upcoming "Princess Protection Program" with fellow ABC Family stars Robert Adamson from "Lincoln Heights" and Demi Lovato from "Camp Rock."

Next up for Jamie: "Dragonball" (not yet rated), a movie about a boy who must save the world. Can't vouch for the kid, but we feel safer just knowing Samurai Girl is out there kicking butt for all of us.

Would you rather be a princess or a samurai?
