Making his television debut as Junior Davis, Ryan Sypek originally auditioned for the role of Matt. He recalls the pivotal experience in his career, "I went through a series of auditions, and eventually it came down to either me or Micah for the role of Matt. When I was told that I didn't get it, I was asked if I'd comeback a couple days later and read for Junior. I left my job early that day, auditioned for Junior, and then was hired that night. It was crazy. I was so psyched when I heard that I got cast, I'll never forget it." Before becoming a star of Wildfire, Ryan received a bachelor of fine arts from Boston University where he performed in a wide range of classics including Merchant of Venice and The Grapes of Wrath. He also played Jack in The Rose Tattoo at the renowned Huntington Theater. So what does he think of his first television series? "It is so much fun," he says, "The cast and crew are all really cool and talented. I am definitely learning a lot, and am just so excited to be a part of this show. I still can't really believe it's happening." And when he's not breaking hearts or riding bulls as Junior Davis? "I really enjoy surfing, and going to the beach. I love being around water, whether it's the ocean, a lake, river, pool. I am also a big fan of video games." Once a rich kid with attitude to spare, Junior may still be a Davis but he's trying to find his own place in the world. He's gone from being a bad boy with a gambling problem and an appetite for danger to a sensitive young man who feels real love for Kris... but is it enough? In his struggle to become his own person, he stumbles on a dangerous new hobby: riding the mechanical bull at Bobby's. He's as shocked as anyone to discover that he's actually good at it, and when he gets a chance to do the real thing he's hooked. Can a Davis really become a bull rider, or is this just another fad for Junior? And when it comes to romance, do he and Kris have a future or are they done for good?
