AN ABC FAMILY ORIGINAL SERIES
cast
Micah Alberti
Micah Alberti's credits include playing James Edward Martin on ABC's "All My Children." "Working on All My Children was a blast," he says, "The cast and crew were incredible. The kindness and the genuine love everyone had for each other were awesome. The amount of work that was done on the show was unbelievable. We shot a one-hour show in one day... to make that easier to understand, Wildfire takes 7 to 8 days to shoot one episode. But I wouldn't change it for the world. I had a blast on that show." Since taking on the role of Matt, he's found many similarities between him and his character. "I think I am a lot like Matt in real life. I grew up surrounded by dairy and horse farms and I love to be outdoors. I love horseback riding and yard work, much like Matt. We also have similar taste in clothes: I love jeans and cowboy boots, (I'm a real cowboy at heart). We have similar personality traits, as well. I am a huge family person and I treat people the way I would like to be treated, unless they push the wrong buttons. Other than that people say that I'm a pretty nice guy and girlfriends have usually told me that I'm understanding, which I really appreciate. I think Matt's a lot like that. But I'm a better kisser!" Before starring in Wildfire he guest-starred on "8 Simple Rules" and "Smallville," and modeled for such legendary photographers as Bruce Weber. When he's not working, the busy actor/model likes to keep busy. "I love all sports," he says, "In high school I wrestled, played football, and baseball, and I participated in gymnastics for over 15 years. I love all winter sports: skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. But one of my favorite hobbies is taking my motorcycle out. I love riding to explore new places, especially small towns with cute Ma-and-Pa shops and restaurants." Matt is coming into his own as a young man, but he is still trying to figure out what his place on the farm should be. And now that Henry has given him ownership of a strong-willed horse and half of Raintree, Matt has more to prove than ever. He's grown up in many ways and after losing Kris to Junior, he's found love with the sophisticated and worldly Gillian. He and Kris remain close friends, and they share a love of horses and of Raintree, yet they also share feelings for each other that they can't quite explain... or ignore. Only time will tell if they are destined to be friends forever or something much more.
