Jean's on the mend, and Kris and Junior are on the move. Junior surprises Kris with tickets to Fiji, but Kris can't go until after Raintree races six horses in their biggest test yet. Matt wants to pull out of the race, but Kris wants to make Jean proud. She's determined to handle it all, from getting the horses ready, to babysitting a group of girls staying at the ranch. Everything goes well until Junior shows up at Raintree, and he and Kris sneak off for a private "meeting." While they're canoodling, two of the girls they're supposed to be watching ride off alone, and no one knows where they've gone.
Matt knows exactly what Kris and Junior were doing when the girls ran away, and it makes him seethe with anger. While out looking for them, Matt and Junior come to blows over Kris. Will the fight finally clear the air, or will it end their friendship for good? Meanwhile, Kris and Pablo square off, too. He accuses her of having her own agenda. She accuses him of deserting Raintree. It's a tough day for everybody, but it has a happy ending when Kris finds the girls safe and sound.
Raintree's race day doesn't have such a happy ending. They only win one race, putting Raintree's future as a racing ranch into question again. Kris wants to quit, but Matt tells her that if she wants to be a part of Raintree she can't bail out again. No more running away. Kris sticks it out for the rest of the day – but what about the rest of her life? If she's a part of Raintree, where do Junior and Fiji fit in?
Dani has a much better race day. Her horse, Tigresse Eye, makes a great showing, but only after Dani withholds her medication. When Noah discovers what Dani has done he realizes that racing is in her blood -- and there's no room for him in her heart.
That night, after visiting Jean at the hospital, Kris goes to see Wildfire. Suddenly, she hears someone in the stable. It's Pablo. Kris tries to apologize for what she said before, but he interrupts her. She was right, he says. His place is at Raintree. He tells her that he's happy that they're both back where they belong. She can't bring herself to tell him that she's leaving with Junior. But, most of all, she wonders ... where does she really belong?
