With only a few days left before his wedding, Junior is staying close to home to handle last-minute details. That's the "official" reason, anyway. The real reason is that he's trying to avoid Kris and his feelings about her. It's almost impossible, though, as she seems to be everywhere he turns.
As for Kris, she's trying to cope with the fact that she's about to lose Junior forever. She turns to Matt, but he tells her he can't be the shoulder she cries on for this one. Besides, he has his own problems: He has to memorize a reading for the wedding.
Humans aren't the only ones feeling restless. Wildfire keeps jumping out of the pasture and running away. Noah suggests they get him a companion horse -- just before he tells Dani he's resigning. Saddened by his decision, Dani asks Noah to stay, but she can't give him what he wants -- her heart.
The day of the wedding day, Kris goes to see Wildfire but he jumps the fence and runs off. Meanwhile, Junior's getting ready to walk down the aisle when he feels a sudden need to go for a drive. He ends up at the Raintree gates, where he sees Wildfire run by, followed by Kris in hot pursuit. She jumps into Junior's car, and off they go. By the time they catch Wildfire, they're late for the wedding. As they pull up to Davis Ranch, Junior wants to keep driving. But Kris tells him they missed their chance to be together -- he should marry Laura.
The wedding begins, and Matt gets up to speak ... but he forgets what he's supposed to say. Instead, he speaks from the heart about what love really is. Just then the lights go off … but suddenly everything becomes very clear. Junior tells Laura that the person he really wants is Kris. He calls off the wedding. Laura runs off in tears. Her father vows revenge. And everyone is left wondering … what happens next?
