Thanks to Kris's help, Wildfire is recuperating nicely, which is more than can be said about her broken relationship with Jean and Pablo. They don't like having her back in town, and they're not afraid to let her know it. Kris is about to leave Raintree when Dr. Noah Gleason, Dani's new vet, hurts himself and convinces Kris to stay a little while longer to help him on his rounds.
Meanwhile, Junior bumps into Calvin, a guy he knew in high school who has a crazy invention that, in his words, might just save the world. Junior is keen to invest but Ken refuses, prompting Junior to bankroll Calvin himself. Junior isn't the only one taking a stand. Matt tells Jean that, while her racing days might be over, his aren't.
While everyone is trying to find their place in the world, it's Wildfire who takes the biggest leap of faith. Literally. When he sees Kris at Raintree, he breaks away from his handler and leaps over a fence to be by her side. Looks like he's going to be fine, after all. Can the same be said for everyone else? Or is this the calm before the storm?
