Anne's off to an interview again, except this time it's with that cute architect, David, she met at the hot dog stand. A jealous George decides to make up a little white lie and tell her he's learned that David is both gay and deaf in one ear from a figure-skating injury. Anne should know better than to believe him, except that she sees a pair of skates hanging on David's wall and makes a major fool out of herself, shouting at the (non-deaf, non-gay) guy about her personal life and her support for the gay community. Looks like not even that thick report she's typed up for him can save her now. Oops.

Speaking of jobs, the Sausage King is swinging his weight around, forcing Ben to take a job at the butcher ... and the bus to get there. Bye-bye, driver. Leo wants his son to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for money. And maybe earn some spending money. Leo's also arranged a job for Ricky ... as Ben's co-worker. Could the two of them make enough to support Amy's baby? Now that Ben has just as much (or as little) money as Ricky, looks like he's lost that upper hand he just invented. And Ricky knows it.

We find the teen mom herself wandering the halls at Grant High, because George forgot to pick her up after school. She calls the store, but he's not there. (He was busy getting a loan for a new house!) Lauren and Madison say they'll give Amy a ride if she goes to the mall with them, but she's not into it. Then Adrian and Grace offer her a lift, but Amy's feeling sorry for herself and doesn't want to hang with anyone.

Over at the butcher shop, sheltered Ben is getting a rude awakening from Bunny, the ruthless manager. And while Ricky's acing his first day, Ben's barely keeping up. Uh-oh, does the sausage prince have a bit of competition from the underdog?

Meanwhile, at the Dairy Shack, Jack confronts Duncan about the fake mugging and theft of the candy money and Jack's truck. He knows it was Duncan who stole the cash and the truck (which was returned). Now, will Jack be able to win Duncan over while also being a good mentor ... who's "in love" with Duncan's sister, Shawna?

So where'd Amy go? She's wandering sadly in a baby shop, where the kind clerk gives her a pair of baby overalls -- which is hard, because Amy knows she's not keeping him. Back at home, she finds Ashley and George watching the video she made for the baby. Ashley's mocking her! Amy lets them both have it.

As for Anne, she tries again with David the architect, and this time it goes better. She apologizes for the first interview and figures out that George was lying about David being gay and deaf. The dude is so not gay. He plants one on Anne's lips, and then they restart the interview. She winds up with a job offer and a dinner date. Not bad for a second chance.

As for Amy, after months of stress, everything aligns just right and she finally realizes maybe she can keep the baby after all. First, she makes up with George and Ashley. Then, all her friends seem to show up on her doorstep at once. Grace and Jack tell her they've gotten her a job in the church's day care center, where she can keep her son during school hours. Both Ricky and Ben have new jobs to support her. Adrian's volunteered her house for a baby shower. When Amy finally gets Anne over to her side as well, it looks like this baby has just found a new home: with his mother.
