John Schneider

Over the course of his 30-plus-year career, John Schneider starred in the popular '80s comedy-adventure series "The Dukes of Hazzard" for six seasons and then in "Smallville" for another six seasons. He reprised his beloved role as Bo Duke in the TV movie "The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood." John was also a regular on the family drama "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and the syndicated drama "Heaven Help Us." One of the highlights of his career was transitioning from a TV "Duke" to a Broadway "Baron" in the Tony-winning musical "Grand Hotel."

He recently directed and starred in the original TV movie "Mary Christmas" with Cynthia Gibb and has appeared in numerous original telefilms, including "Michael Landon, the Father I Knew," "True Women," "Night of the Twisters," "The Legend of Ruby Silver," "Texas," and "Desperate Journey." John can also be heard voicing the lead character on the animated series "The Mummy." Catch him in the thriller "Conjurer" (PG-13), as well as "Holyman Undercover" and "Set Apart" (both not yet rated). In 2009, John will be appearing in the films "The Gods of Circumstance" and "The Rebound."

But the role dearest to his heart is being a dad to his three kids. A native of Mt. Kisco, New York, John currently lives just outside L.A. with his family.

Grace Bowman's overprotective yet well-meaning father is a good Christian, but he's not above making threats or holding grudges, especially when it comes to any guy who's wronged his precious Grace. A doctor himself, Marshall knew about Amy's pregnancy even before her own parents did, which sparked a whole series of debates on the meaning of "making a mistake." As a very strong father, Marshall parents with an iron fist, ensuring Grace and Tom know his views and his rules on dating.
