Charles is crushed and, after telling Wesley he wishes he'd never met him, storms out. Later, Cassie calls and finds Charles inconsolable. He tells her he's alone in the world, and he wonders why things like this always happen to him. When Charles hangs up, Cassie's afraid he'll do something rash. She asks Eddie to drive her to Santa Barbara to get him, but Eddie's reluctant -- until he realizes he would never forgive himself if something bad happened to Charles. He also thinks he may be able to get Charles to confess to taking the money. When they arrive at Wesley's house, Cassie runs into Charles's arms, and Eddie realizes just how much they love each other. While Charles gets his stuff together, Eddie tells Wesley he should be proud to have a son like Charles. Wesley replies that Eddie doesn't know what it's like to meet a son after so many years ... but, oh, yes, Eddie does know. Before heading back to Lincoln Heights, Charles confesses to Eddie that he took the money. Eddie accepts his apology but tells him he needs to face up to his problems if he's going to become the man his daughter deserves. Later, Charles confesses to Cassie, but she isn't as forgiving. In fact, she rides the rest of the way home with her dad. Meanwhile, Lizzie's facing troubles of her own. After the drugs are found in Gabriel's teddy bear, Gabriel and his mother, Ana, have to hide out at the apartment of the Outreach's head counselor, Marco. The drug dealers are after them, and they can't go to the police for help because they're in the country illegally. Unfortunately, the police come looking for Marco. Thanks to Tay and Malik's amateur sleuthing, the police arrest Marco as the Bandanna Bandit. They take him into custody, but just when they're about to book him, Andrew comes in and confesses to being the Bandit. The police release Marco, and he heads to the border with Gabriel and Ana before the law learns that he really is the Bandit, after all. Hello, freedom. Goodbye, $600 reward for Tay and Malik. That night, Cassie's still angry with Charles. She sits on the roof and wonders if she can ever trust him again. Eddie tells her that if you love someone, you have to accept the good and the bad. His words ring true, so Cassie forgives Charles, and watches him upload a picture of him with the Suttons -- his real family -- onto his computer.
