Cassie and Charles take the next step in their relationship, but their romantic night turns out to have been anything but private. The next day, they discover that their "first time" has been accidentally recorded, and they're the stars of the most popular viral video at school. Suddenly, Cassie realizes that once you go all the way, there's no turning back.

Luckily, no one can tell it's them, but the rumors start flying that it's "Chassie." Cassie is worried she'll become known as Cassie "Slutton," 'til a new friend comes to the rescue. Stacy Kingston, the daughter of the new pastor, tells everyone it's her and a boy from the AV club in the video. (Seems that Stacy understands the importance of secrets; she's in love with a girl named Alison but can't tell anyone for fear of hurting her parents.)

Meanwhile, the doctors take Sage, who's been in a coma for months, off life support. Worried sick that she won't survive, Lund begins to drink even more. The machines are turned off and, after a few excruciating hours of waiting, a miracle happens. Sage opens her eyes and asks for Charles.

On the home front, Lizzie is accepted into the prestigious Archdale School on a full scholarship. (Her one hurdle? She has to write her biography in six words.) Tay struggles to find his own voice as he converts the secret attic into a music studio. Jenn fights to keep the clinic open. Eddie secretly brings a shotgun into the house in the wake of what happened to Cassie. And the whole family tries to get a read on the just-a-little-too-perfect Reverend Kingston, his wife Anita, and their teenagers, Stacy and Devon.

In the end, Lizzie writes her own biography. Funny, but it pretty much applies to everyone in the Sutton household:

"Goodbye, comfort zone. Hello, new life."
