What's up with Amanda? Why does her mom have her on lockdown? Mom makes Madacorp look almost friendly. It's totally weird. Kyle is convinced something's up, and you pretty much have to agree. But what?
And what do you think Kyle's going to do about it? What would you do?

wait i thought that once they un-wired her Jessi would stop the whole I'm-obsessed-with-kyle thing. why else would she do what she did with Amanda's mom if she wasn't totally in love with Kyle? I hope they re-un-wire her so that Kyle and Amanda can be together in peace not pieces!
Jessi's main reason for telling Amanda's mom where she was was because she wants Kyle to teach her everything he knows so far.
Kyle originally said "I will teach you after Amanda leaves"
Towards the end of the episode in The Rack, Kyle said, " Well, I'll have to make time for you and Amanda, she might be staying."
If you notice Jessi face after he said that, she was disappointed. I believe this is when she called Amanda's Mom.

Uh, not trying to be rude here but Kyle just is not into Jessie in that way so she needs to face that. I think he is trying to assume more of a brotherlike role with her.
i was so mad at jessi when she called amanda... then i realized jessi loves kyle... so having amanda around is killing her chance with kyle... if she would just sit and look how much kyle hurts without amanda i think it would dawn on her to backoff... i do love the kyle and amanda thing. there the best together... jessi and kyle are not ment to be at all.
ARE YOU GUYS DUMB! Jessi is no longer after Kyle, she is not into him anymore. She only wants to grow stronger, and learn how to do more amazing things. Kyle promised that he would. when Amanda came back, Kyle said that he would TEACH her after Amanda went back to New York. When Kyle finally told Jessi that Amanda was staying, She was afraid that Kyle wouldn't be able to teach her anymore. So she called Amanda's Mom. NEXT EPISODE, Amanda Finds out more about Kyle, or that he is more than he let on. Jessi will start to rebel againest Kyle's warnings, because Taylor promised to make her Stonger and Smarter. And Kyle and Jessi will start to go at it, and Jessi will start to be an antagonist is this story. But don't worry Jessi Fans, At the end of this Season, She will once again Join Kyle. Just Ask Cooper_29 what will happen. OH AND KYLE AND JESSI WILL NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TOGETHER. Sorry supernatural85sdwin

I love this show and Amanda and Kyle, an amazing couple. I wish I could have that kind of relationship, esp. with someone as hot as Kyle. What Jessi did pissed me off. That was horrible. It's better if you like a guy, to keep him happy, not wear him down and try to be his rebound.

Why did Amanda's mom sell her piano?
Well i can sort of see why amandas mom is reacting that way...I recently took a leave of absence from my school and had planned to change, obviously my parents didnt like the idea, and im back in that school...Other than that, i was surprised by jessi actions, i thought she was changing and she proved me wrong. I love Amanada and Kyle together i dont want to see them sepearte because of jessi.
Amanda needs to act more loving to Kyle. So, Jessie will back off. I wish Mr. Treger would have let Kyle play his sweet love song for Amanda, that would have been soooo cute!!!

Seriously, Amanda's mom has her on lockdown because she a controlling super-freak. I mean, it's so obvious to her how much Amanda likes Kyle, but she stops him from seeing her anyway. That's just worng. Just because Amanda's mom thinks she knows what her daughter wants, and what is best for her, doesn't mean she's right. And amanda was right when she said that she wasn't 7 years old anymore. She should get to have some say in her own life. I can't wait until Monday's episode. I'm really curious about what's going to happen when Amanda's mom finds out she didn't get on her plane back to school.
I think Amanda's mother should let here hang out with kyle because she needs to ask him something but she has no right to take here cellphone and here computer its not right at all i think its mean what here mother is doing to here thats not right. kyle heard aknock at his bedroom window and it was amanda she is hiding from here mother i think she said to kyle is hide me because she doesnt want to see here mother. i will watch it tomorrow night to see what happens with kyle and amanda

I totally understand why amanda's mom wants her to go back to New York, it's an amazing opportunity, but Kyle wants Amanda to take that opportunity. And if her mom really cared aobut her music that much she wouldn't have sold the piano, Kyle got Amanda another piano, so her music is obviously important to him. and did her mom have a problem with Charlie? I think not (or maybe I dont remember lol). Kyle and Amanda have a beautiful and innocent relationship, but her mom is a total monster trying to destroy true love. I think she's jelous of the true love between amanda and kyle.
The tension between Amanda and Kyle sends me back to when I was with my first real boyfriend... And that seems like an eternity ago... Their chemistry is so amazing... I wish it was available for all of us 30somethings... This week's episode (2/4/08) was explosive for me. I only discovered Kyle XY approximately 3 weeks ago and was completely hooked after seeing two shows. THEN I had the sense to look on this website and found that past episodes were on here in full--let's just say I spent an entire weekend with Kyle XY on my computer screen.
Anyway, I thought this was a great episode and for me the relationship betweeen Amanda and Kyle just makes my insides turn fluffy. Her mum needs to loosen up a bit or Amanda will keep rebelling against her in these little ways.
The only question I have is about when the group entered Kyle's room and found the bed. Yes, I get that the kids built it out of the beer. But where did the tub go? In my opinion it would have been better if the boxes of beer had gone around the tub and some sort of board put over all of it to make it a completely stable surface. The disappearance of the tub just twitched me, that's all.
Otherwise, I am absolutely DYING for next week. I hate you, Kyle XY, for making me love you so much. Cheerio!
Hey everyone... gotta say think about it for a little bit. Do you honestly think Kyle and Amanda are going to break up just because of Jessi? No WAY is that going to happen. Trust our friend with the large brain. It may take him some time... but he will figure it out.
honeygraham01: Amanda's mom sold her piano in Season 2 Episode 5 (I think). In this episode Amanda reveals to Kyle that her family had been experiencing money problems since her dad died. Mrs. Bloom sold Amanda's car and piano in order to pay the bills. Hope this helps.

I'm loving this season, so many new things are happening, and while I agree that Jessie is making unwise choices that will inevitably lead to her undoing w/Kyle, she is not evil. She just doesn't understand that life isn't about getting what she wants when she wants it. As for Amanda's mom, I think she is just extremely bitter about something, and the only way she feels she has any power is by controling Amanda.
i like the whole Amanda and Jessi fighting. Kyle is alway pushing Jessi way. Jessi rocks!!!!!
I like the family/friends interaction shows much better than the fighting the big bad corporation episodes. The one thing I have to constantly remind myself about is that Kyle was quite literally born a little over two years ago show wise. If you keep that fact in mind many of his actions and decisions don’t seem at all out of place. Being highly intelligent is no substitute for years of living experience especially where other people are concerned. There is no good substitute for first hand experience and knowledge!
I think the shows writers have handled some of the many aspects of teenage life and life in general extremely well. The recurring problem of telling lies. What are good lies and what are bad ones. The fact that always telling the truth often results in hurting someone you care about but by the same token protecting them with lies is often just as bad.
I think Amanda's mom is trying to hold on to her daughter since her husband died. But I believe also that Jessi is in love with Kyle and will do anything to keep Amanda away.

Amanda's mom is obviously trying to shelter her from Kyle because Amanda is all she has left. She doesn't realize that the more she holds Amanda back, the more she's going to rebel and she's going to slip from her mommy's fingertips faster then she thinks. It's obvious that Kyle is up to something, just like every week. This past episode was so good. I loved it. Amanda's mom just needs to lay off of her and let her make the decisions she wants. If she doesn't want to go to New York, then she needs to respect that. But that's just a mom thing honestly. I'm very excited for the next episode and I just wish it would get here FAST.
