For all the awesome, world-shaking bands that have come out of the UK, no hitmakers have ever emerged from Cornwall, the long spit of land that stretches out at Britain's southwest corner. Till now. At long last, Penzance, the last decent-size Cornish town before the Atlantic, has spawned something more musically viable than a crew of singing, dancing Pirates.

That something is Thirteen Senses. They've got two major label releases and recently saw their song "Follow Me" featured on the first episode of the new "Kyle XY" season. We liked the strangely addictive guitar and Will South's enchanting voice, even if it does remind us a wee bit much of Coldplay. But then, almost everything sounds like Coldplay sometimes.
