It's time for the Cartwrights to get their study on. Casey's getting set to go to law school, and she's prepping for her LSATs. Meanwhile, Rusty's studying up on … Chad Stewart? Wait … who? Turns out Cappie's given all the Kappa Tau pledges fake IDs, and Rusty and the rest have to know their new identities backwards and forwards before Spring Break.

Outside of Cartwright World, Ashleigh has problems of her own: She's spent her allowance, and now she's broke! What's she going to do when Spring Break rolls around? Answer: Get a credit card!

Evan tells Casey to sign up for a prep course to help her get ready for the LSATs, but Casey gets schooled on her first mock exam. So Evan offers to help her study, 'cause that's what "friends" do, right? He's just being friendly ….

Rusty's studying is paying off. Not only does he convince a sexy bartender that he's legit for booze, but it turns out that Chad Stewart is her favorite indie singer. Woah--now Rusty's bagged himself a hot older date. Hmmm. Cappie's not so sure Spitter can handle it.

Speaking of not handling things, Ash just goes nuts with her new credit card. She's already almost up to her credit limit, and Calvin, as her responsible friend, is wondering if it's time for an intervention.

Meanwhile, things seem to be going better for Casey. Her scores were a lot better on her last mock test, so Evan invites her for dinner, as "friends." Rusty finds out and warns Casey that Evan can't be trusted -- he's just trying to get her back. Casey doesn't buy it, but it does get her thinking. Evan doesn't get weird at dinner though, and he even gives Casey a chance at an interview with Harvard Law School. Casey's pleased … until she actually looks at the course catalog. Uh-oh. "Multi-factor models" and "corporate structure" are not what she had in mind.

Ash isn't happy either when she finds out that she can't even buy a pack of gum with her maxed-out new credit card. Rusty's got his own problem: Turns out his hot date is actually a wedding gig. His new bartender friend wants him to sing at her sister's wedding. Poor tone-deaf Rusty gives it his best shot, but he not only blows the song, he manages to blow the whole wedding. Go Spitter! Everyone's having trouble, and that goes for Evan too. Frannie gets a drunk Ashleigh to hassle Shane "The Lambda Sig Dirtbag" into revealing that Evan paid him to stand up Casey. Hearing this, a PO'd Casey confronts Evan, who says yes, he did it -- 'cause he still loves her. So much for just "friends." Casey cools off, but she's still not interested. That sets Evan off, and he tells her to get out.

So now Casey's miserable and wondering if Evan was the whole reason she wanted to do law. So she does the logical thing and blows her interview with the Harvard rep. Ash gets an extension on her credit rating, but it's just more rope to hang herself with, and Calvin is not pleased.

Let's take score, shall we? Rusty's beyond humiliated, Casey's a rudderless mess, and Ash is well on her way to debtor's prison. Good times!
