adrienne pierce: 'fool's gold'

Hopeful, wistful, sad, dreamy, inspirational ... Pierce's music covers the emotional waterfront, prolly because she wrote a lot of her second album ("Faultline") during a breakup. Apart from that, her life has been charmed for a while now: Before she even had a record deal, two of her songs were featured on a certain megapopular hospital drama.

Then Jeff Trott, who co-wrote some of Sheryl Crow's biggest hits, offered to produce "Faultline." "Even the musicians were joking about what a dream list of great players were involved," says Adrienne, who's moved from her native Vancouver to L.A. You might have seen her at Lilith Fair or SXSW this past year, but if not, catch her on tour this fall supporting Issa (who used to be called Jane Siberry. Huh?)
