'the princess diaries': anne hathaway makes us jealous
Posted February 15, 2008
Seems like Anne Hathaway's everywhere these days. Like, literally. From Genovia to Wyoming, from Manhattan to the English countryside, Anne's been pulling some pretty diverse roles lately. (She even got to be on "Sesame Street"! How awesome is that? Princess, actress, and now she gets to hang with Elmo. She's getting to do everything we wanted when we were kids.) And we totally get it, because she's completely unique in the acting world. How many people can switch so effortlessly from a rodeo cowboy's wife to a fabulous, cosmopolitan fashionista?
We aren't the only ones who've noticed –- she's got three new movies coming out this year, including the remake of "Get Smart" with Steve Carell. To top that off, she's even got her own perfume line now. But we're probably most jealous that she got to play Jane Austen in last year's "Becoming Jane." There's always been something literary about Anne –- maybe 'cause she's named after William Shakespeare's leading lady. Plus she's just uber-cute and, well, shall we compare her to a summer's day? Or maybe just say that she rocks our socks off.
See Anne in the movie that launched her career, this Sunday, February 17, when "The Princess Diaries" airs at 7/6c & 9:30/8:30c.
What's your favorite Anne Hathaway movie?
