okay seriously partents stop freaking out. if u think this is a bad movie for children to be watching, then y are u letting them watch it? Also abc family plays Mean Girls aswell and that movie is a WAY worse influence than Picture This. I will agree with some of you tho that it went too fast. I wish they could explain a little more after the whole tower thing and show some school days and have signs about prom all over the school and stuff like that. And how did Mandy's friend know that the mean girl was gonna puke? I mean thats just a little wierd. Also i think they should have shown a few more days of school in the beginning so that you could see how bad her life was, instead of just one day and shes the cool girl that the most popular guy likes. It was a little strange and the story should have been a little better but all in all i thought it was pretty good. And i think they might make a sequal so hopefully that will be better. AND hopefully there will be a conflict betweeen the loves just like in HSM.

I agree with the parents who did not like the targeting of this movie. By the commercials it seemed like this movie was geared towards the pre-teen and teen age market, but there were things in this movie that no 12 year old should be watching. Plus, it sent a wrong message that the main character would still date a boy such as the main one in the movie...a boy who used terms like "hump and dump" when talking about a girl. That's disgusting. Although, I shouldn't be suprised since this network also airs theater movies that are not "family" viewing either.

I just want to point out a couple of story line blunders here: 1. There was no challenge whatsoever in their love story. Girl is hopelessly in love with guy and guy feels exactly the same. End of story. Where's the conflict?! 2. I guess Disney is really trying to tackle major teen story lines now, especially since "The Secret Life of a Teenager" received its green light from the head mouse. The writers decided to showcase, reckless driving, sex, and alcohol as part of this movie's rather thin story line. 3. Thirdly, I agree with everybody about the ending, when it seemed like our heroine was doing the right thing in the end, the writers decided to pull the rug from under us. I was remembering the final father-daughter scene and noticed that there were only 4 minutes left and I thought to myself: how the heck are they going to wrap this up? Sure enough, girl ends up with boy. Big surprise! I was really disappointed in this movie and I was really beginning to prefer Ashley over Vanessa Hudgens. But I guess, Ashley's just gonna have to play second fiddle to Vanessa again. So sorry.

I learned a valuable lesson tonight, that being give Tivo a 30 minute headstart before starting to watch. The previews vs what was delivered were polar opposites thankfully we had turned it off before the deflowering remarks (that would have been fun explaining to a 7 yo) I had no idea it was TV 14 and just assummed it would be typical Tisdale/Disney, man was I wrong. Inappropriate material aside the movie seemed to drag and then the editors discovered oops times up gotta rap it up and just like that it was over. I'm just glad this was on TV and not a movie where it would have been a bigger deal turning it off. Shame on you ABC you really missed the mark on this one!!

Ur kids r gonna find out about all this stuff sooner or later...and would u rather them find out from u or from some other kid at school? If u don't want ur kid to watch it then don't let them...its not that big a deal! alright i was very very excited for this movie! veryy! but i just watched it and it sucks! its prolly up there with the worst movies ive ever seen in my life. the whole time they never mentioned one word about prom and what prom king gets to pick the queen that is sexist cuz why doesnt the queen get to pick the king. and that whole thing with the dad seeing the clock . what videos are clear enough to see the clock in the back of a dark club. the whole movie was just ridiculous

4 all the parents and adults who don't want their kids watching the movie, they aid a bunch of imes that t was tv 14 andit is on the top left han corner of the screen. maybe u should have done little moe research on the movie. and the whole secret life series, is very big with a lot of teens right now. its very educational and its not wrong to show teens wat can happen. we all heard this stuff wen we were in high school and your kids will too. its NOT Ashley's fault. she didn't write the movie.we ALLL wanted to be a smebody. And we would do watevr it takes. AND if u id't like yr kids watchng it then tell them that they can't watch it. if they cry, they cry, if they get mad, they get mad.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one! I am watching this with my 9 and 6 year old. I cannot believe they had to add the deflowering thing. And even the birth of the baby! I am so upset. I wish the tv14 rating was more obvious. we are at the end now, and I am holding the control so that I can "accidentally" change the channel.I really hope High School Musical will be as fun as the others, and not as disappointing as this one. It really hasn't even been that interesting for me. And I am a big ONE TREE HILL fan. And really miss my Dawson's Creek!

I am very upset that this movie was geared to older teens, but advertised for family. Even though the rating was listed as 14, all my kids were excited to watch this since the commercials looked cute and funny. Imagine our surprise when we had to explain "hump and dump" to a 10 year old.

Imagine my surprise as a parent sitting watching with my 10 and 12 year olds and orgasims and humping and being deflowered. Who did you think would be watching this movie....18 year olds. Great example Ashley....we will be pulling all of your music and posters from our house. Thanks for being an example to my kids...how sad that you would choose this type of movie to be in. As an elementary school principal, I am horrified to know that 20 of my students were watching this trash and seeing and hearing things that no elementary school or middle school child should be hearing. Why was this advertised as a FAMILY movie....you shoud have shown it at 10:00 PM so we could have had a warning it would be so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

from the previews i think it looks really cheesy i saw some people write that it is mimicking other movies and i cant agree more i have seen a lot of movies that seem to have the same basic story line cant these writers come up with anything better then this the only thing that intrigues the viewers are the cast and i think without them it would not get very many good ratings.
