During one pivotal summer, four best friends are separated for the first time but united in spirit with the help of some very special pants. Found in a thrift shop, this seemingly ordinary pair of jeans magically fits each of the very different girls. The girls decide to share the jeans, so they devise a plan: Each of them will wear the jeans for one week to see what adventures unfold, before sending them on to the next friend.
The jeans don't disappoint ….
Lena (Alexis Bledel, "Gilmore Girls") is a shy, gifted artist who, thanks to the pants, finds love while spending the summer in Greece with her grandparents. Fiery Carmen (America Ferrera, "Ugly Betty") makes a shocking discovery while visiting her absentee dad in South Carolina. Uber-confident star-athlete Bridget (Blake Lively, "Gossip Girl") falls for her coach at soccer camp in Mexico. Rebellious Tibby (Amber Tamblyn, "Joan of Arcadia") stays home and makes a "suckumentary" about her life, only to meet someone who makes her look at her world in a whole new way.
As the summer unfolds, the friends experience things they'll never forget. And, in the end, they all learn a little about love, loss, and the magic of the traveling pants.
