With his star turn in the critically acclaimed film "Naked," David Thewlis established himself as one of the finest actors of his generation. His choice of roles has been wide-ranging, from an eccentric artist in "The Big Lebowski" to a giant worm in "James and the Giant Peach." He's also been in "The Omen" (2006), "Kingdom of Heaven," "Basic Instinct 2," and "Seven Years in Tibet." Next up, aside from more Harry Potter movies, is "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" (PG-13). Harry's third Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has a big, hairy secret: He's a werewolf, which doesn't sit well with most wizards, especially the muckety-mucks at the Ministry of Magic. Dumbledore hires him anyway, and Lupin proves to be one of Harry's favorite professors. Not only is he a really cool teacher, but also Lupin and Sirius were best friends with Harry's dad. A gentle, thoughtful man -- when he's not tearing things up as a werewolf, that is -- Lupin knows all too well the kind of fight Harry faces.
