On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) receives a mysterious letter: he has been chosen as one of the future students of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. If that isn't big enough news, Harry also learns he is the orphaned son of a powerful wizard and witch and possesses unique magical powers of his own.
