Set to begin his second year at Hogwarts, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) is warned by a frantic house elf named Dobby that he'll be in grave danger if he returns to school. The thought of staying home, however, is even more frightening to Harry, so he ignores the warnings and joins friends Ron and Hermione (Rupert Grint, Emma Watson) at Hogwarts. But dark and mysterious things are indeed afoot at Hogwarts… students are being turned to stone and someone has opened the Chamber of Secrets, paving the way for "He Who Must Not Be Named" to return to power. Could Dobby be right after all?
