the cutting edge 2: going for the gold
As the daughter of skating champions, figure skater Jackie Dorsey (Christy Carlson Romano, "Even Stevens," "Kim Possible") has her eyes set on the Olympics, until an injury gives her dreams the slip. Now her last shot at glory is to skate in doubles competition, but finding a partner on short notice is a little dicey. Then, in glides Alex Harrison (Ross Thomas), a bad boy professional inline skater who's been ousted from his tour. Jackie and Alex share a past, but that's about all they have in common … except they both need a second chance. So, with hard work, bad spills, crossed signals, and crossed fingers, Jackie and Alex strive for a chance at the gold. It's a long road, and there are more than a few bumps, including bruised egos, sore muscles -- and a fiancée named Heidi. Can Jackie and Alex rise above it all to win a medal and the one prize they want even more than Olympic gold? (2006)
