the chronicles of narnia: the lion, the witch and the wardrobe

The beloved book by C.S. Lewis comes to life as a spectacular film. World War II is raging, and the Pevensie children — Lucy, Peter, Susan, and Edmund (Georgie Henley, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, and Skandar Keynes) — are sent away to the English countryside. Their new home is safe, but frightfully dull.

And then Lucy steps inside an old wardrobe. Suddenly, her sober surroundings give way to a magical, snow-covered world called Narnia, where she befriends some mythical creatures. Soon Lucy's siblings follow, and they discover that the land and its inhabitants are caught under an evil spell by the powerful White Witch (Tilda Swinton). They also learn that only they can defeat her and end 100 years of winter (without a single Christmas!).

But they need help, so they go on a dangerous journey in search of Aslan the Lion (Liam Neeson), who they hope can rally the creatures of Narnia against the White Witch's massive army. Along the way, the Pevensie children find their destiny and learn lessons about courage, faith, and the true meaning of family. Their quest ends in an epic battle of good and evil, and the fate of Narnia rests in their hands
